MOORLANDS FARMSTAY

“Moorlands” is part of a number of small properties that have been acquired by the Menkins Family in the past 10 years. Your hosts, Victoria and Scott Menkins and their 3 children, Aidan, Connor and Kendall invite you to participate in the daily routine on their properties. With never a dull moment, there are many farm activities adults and children alike can be involved including:

Feeding the hens
Collecting the eggs
Feeding the poddy calves
Milking the cows
Round up the cows to be milked on the 4 wheel motorbike.
Helping with mustering and cattle work
Checking stock water and stock.

MOORLANDS CORPORATE RETREAT

Looking for somewhere to take the team to work on that project or just to get to know each other than consider Moorlands as the venue. Offering 4 King or 4 twin share rooms with ensuites set in large award winning gardens in a private setting. Moorlands homestead offers a formal lounge, dining and meeting/billiards room facilities. LOCATION

Moorlands is situated 27km north of Oakey on Queensland's picturesque Darling downs. Just 45 minutes drive from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane, it is a comfortable drive from the state's capital. An almost all weather air strip is located on a neighboring property and strip co-ordinates are available on request.

Directions:

Via Toowoomba:
Take the Warrego Highway west to Oakey, driving through Oakey township, turn right to cross over the railway line and follow the Oakey-Cooyar Road 27 kms. Moorlands Homestead sign on the left - Gate number 2733.

Via Dalby:
Take the Warrego Highway east to Jondaryan, turn left over the railway line following signs to Cooyar. Just prior to the Acland Coal Mine, turn left at the sign to Kulpi. At the intersection with the Oakey/Cooyar road, turn left, we are 4 kms further. Moorlands Homestead is Gate number 2733.
